On 12/12/25 Baby Wilder’s soul departed to take his place in heaven. The Fight was hard, but his little body could not continue on. Our Family is devastated. Any Donations made now are to help baby Wilder’s family with final arrangements. Please read Wilder’s story:
The following is Wilder's story, posted by his mother, my cousin. She wrote:
A little update post about our sweet Wilder. ❤️
First of all, I want to thank each and every one of you who have reached out, sent prayers, sent good vibes, and checked on Wilder, Charles, & I. We love you all and could not feel more blessed to be surrounded by such amazing support. I’m truly at a loss for words.
Wilder has had a very eventful and traumatic first four days of life, to say the least.
Day one, he entered the world screaming, beautiful, and perfect — but his lungs quickly became sick due to an infection in my amniotic fluid that occurred during birthing him. He also swallowed his very own meconium (the first poop).
Day two was a little better. He seemed to be stabilizing, but not quite out of the woods.
By day three, he had done a complete opposite 360 in the worst way. It was critical for us to make a decision that we very desperately pray will save his life.
Imagine how terrifying it is to look at your perfectly made beautiful baby and know that one freak situation caused his once perfectly healthy lungs to become completely sick. My delivery doctor let me know that she, in 25 years, has never seen such a severe case of meconium aspiration syndrome.
@cincychildrens has been a complete and utter blessing in our lives. They took the situation Wilder was in and have made astronomical strides to save his life. Last night they performed a procedure called “ECMO.” Essentially, what this procedure does is work in place of his lungs and remove his carbon dioxide from his bloodstream and return his blood back into his body. This does what our lungs are doing for all of us every day. We breathe in oxygen, we breathe out carbon dioxide.
Right now, Wilder needs his lungs to rest so that they can heal and he can become perfectly healthy again. We want Wilder to come home! ❤️
Today’s day four of life for our sweet baby boy. They are slowly removing different devices and medications he no longer needs in order to see how he does. In the next few days, we are praying we will see positive changes.
Continued prayers are appreciated while we navigate our little warrior Wilder’s healing process. Love ✨
Anyone with a heart can see this roller-coaster these young parents are going through with little Wilder. He's sick and working his hardest to get better. Work's been hard when they need to be by Wilder's side every step of the way if they can. Bills are due and I need her not to stress at this time in her life. Wilder may be there weeks or months; we just don't know. Good vibes and prayers please. I know it's Christmas time and money is tight but please, even if it's a few dollars to help out, I know she would be forever thankful. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
