Prayers 4 Payton

March 22, 2021, our lives were forever changed.  Our Payton was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG). DIPG, is a type of brain tumor found in an area of the brainstem known as the pons. DIPG primarily affects children, with most diagnoses occurring between 5 and 7 years of age. It makes up 10-15% of all brain tumors in children, with about 150-300 new diagnoses per year in the United States. Unfortunately, fewer than 10% of children survive two years from diagnosis.

Even more unfortunate is the fact that our Payton is now in that number of 300 that will be diagnosed this year. But our story / her story does not end here because we are going to fight this and claiming victory through our faith in God to heal. If you are one of the lucky ones to have met Payton in person, then you have witnessed firsthand, the liveliness that is Payton! We are calling upon our inner Payton to approach this next chapter of her life with tenacity and prayer- Prayers 4 Payton!

There is currently no known cure for DIPG. However, there is the standard treatment of radiation and clinical trials that she has qualified for. Most clinical trials are just that- a trial, and as a result, are not covered by insurance. We have felt your love from the many calls, texts, and prayers you have sent our family, and we would really appreciate any donation you could make towards her treatment.
