Prayer & Support for Ian Walter

To all who know Ian and his beautiful family, my name is Danielle, and I am reaching out to you on behalf of the Walter Family.

On Friday, December 13th, Erika came home from work and found her husband, Ian, collapsed in their home. Paramedics arrived, and after quick assessment, rushed him to the hospital. It was there that doctors confirmed Ian had suffered a massive stroke and was bleeding internally in his brain. He was immediately admitted to the ICU and is currently in a medically induced coma.

Over the weekend, Ian's doctors worked fervently to help relieve the pressure in his brain, and after an emergency procedure on Sunday, they were successful. We praise God for this victory because we know that His hand is upon Ian.

These next few days, Ian's amazing physicians are working on stabilizing Ian while attending to other medical concerns that have risen as a result of the stroke. Given the nature of this injury, we know that the journey to recovery is a long one. But we also know that God is faithful, and He will be there every step of the way.

Many of you have already asked how you can best support Ian and the Walter family during this journey. First and foremost, we ask that you join us in prayer. Please pray that God would heal and fully restore Ian. Jeremiah 29:12 says, “When you call on me, when you come and pray to me, I’ll listen.”

Second, having recently lost his job, we have also set up this GoFundMe Page so that, together, we can help shoulder the financial burdens that the Walter family will face, both in the present and future. We do not have a specific goal in mind, as any amount of generosity is appreciated.

How the Funds Will Be Used:

The funds raised will go directly to helping Erika with the following expenses:

• Ian's medical bills and ongoing treatment

• Household expenses and daily living costs while Ian recovers

In addition to this new reality they are facing, the Walters are also in the process of moving from their home, and are now looking for a single-story home.

What a privilege it is to be able to walk beside this amazing family on their journey. We can all agree that the Walters are truly remarkable. Now, it's our turn to touch their lives with the same love that they so generously lavish on others.
