On December 6, 2020, Kameron "Kam" Spencer was a victim of gun violence. Kam was shot multiple times with three bullets hitting his head with one going through his right eye and the last one shattering his right arm. When his mother arrived at the hospital the evening of the shooting, she was told to prepare to say goodbye...goodbye to her 16-year-old son. But Kam is not a quitter, he is a fighter. He is alive and fighting so hard to this day! If anyone can make it through this it is Kam. As he continues to fight, we ask that everyone continue to pray!
If you’re lucky enough to know Kam, you have been blessed with so many laughs and smiles. He is a loving son, big brother, cousin and friend to so many. Anyone who knows Kam knows he has a heart of gold and would not hurt a soul. This tragic incident has shaken his family, friends, and community but with everyone’s positive support we know Kam is going to make it through this. To date, Kam has had three surgeries (one to fix his shattered arm, another to fix his facial fractures and the third to remove a portion of his skull) and there are many more in the upcoming weeks. No one can prepare for the magnitude of such a life altering event. Kam will need ongoing medical treatment, rehabilitation and care for the months to come.
As many of you know Kam's mother/family would never ask for it, but for all of you looking for a chance to help this is one way everyone can. Every little bit makes a difference. The money will be used to pay for medical expenses and assistance for Kam's mother as she will be out of work for an extended amount of time. Leandra has been by Kam’s side since this tragedy occurred all while still needing to take care of Kam’s younger brother and sister.
On behalf of his mother, Leandra Rodriguez, and family we would like to thank you for the continued prayers, love, and support through this very difficult time. As things progress, we will keep everyone updated on Kam's status and recovery.
If you cannot afford to donate, please share our family’s story and lift us all up in prayer during this difficult time.
Thank you in advance.
