Pray for the Diep’s. Help Mr. Kim!

We know him as Mr. Kim, who takes care of our yards, we know her as Linda, who has done our nails for decades on Main Street. The Diep’s have been family to Martinez for years, and now they need our help. Kim has been diagnosed with cancer but pinpointing the root cause has been tough for his team of doctors. Many tests, multiple biopsies, treatment is still forthcoming. It will be an uphill battle.

 

Kim came to the US in 1989, having trekked strenuously to get here, and for a period of time even camping in the Asian forests before making it to freedom. Kim started his business working on lawns and gardens and making a name for himself around the Pine Street area. Now, most of Martinez knows him on a first name basis. Everyone knows a “Mr. Kim” lawn.

Linda came here in the 90’s and soon made Main Street BP Nails her own shop. Anyone who knows the Diep’s will walk by BP Nails and wave to Linda and her daughters and she will call to them by name, always opening the door to say hello and ask how the family is doing.

 

This family is the American Dream. This is Martinez. MTZ, please pray for the Diep’s and donate if you can to Kim’s medical treatment. It will be long, pricey and extensive and they need our help.
