Four years ago this October, our brother, Robin, battled ocular Melanoma. Although he had a successful surgery and the cancer was killed through radiation, he tested high in the chances of it returning one day. This melanoma travels through the blood so it would attack the liver when it returns. Well, that time has come. After months of not feeling well, Robin’s doctor discovered a large mass, 5” at the largest point, on his liver. He was referred to MD Anderson, as uveal Melanoma is a rare cancer. After MD Anderson ordered their own scans, they discovered the mass had doubled in size along with 40-50 additional masses. He also has at least one mass on his lung. Next Monday Robin will begin 10 days of radiation treatment on the mass on his liver. They will also do immunotherapy with the radiation. Their goal is to stop it from growing. When this is completed, he will begin a trial medication regimen.
Our hope is to have money to help with travel, accomodations, medical bills, etc. during this time.
We covet your prayers! If you have time, we ask that you set your alarm at 11:06 daily to stop and say a quick prayer for Robin.
