***Update 4/1/24***
Kirsten wants to extend her Easter prayers for all of you.

“May the risen Lord fill your heart with compassion, joy, love, and never-ending bliss. May God blesses all those who believes in him.

I thank you for all your wonderful prayers not only everyday but during the lenten season.

Thank you for sharing the grace of prayers. The little bliss I received made me stronger, and that all that matters”.

Today is her 6th day after chemo. Though the chemo medz are weighing down, she is really looking forward for surgery. Her Surgery dates has not been moved after all. It will still be on April 22.

I know that most of you are already in communication with her, but Kirsten did not get to ring that bell on 3/26. She was told that she still have few more chemo to do and perhaps that is because she missed few chemos during her hospitalization. She also has nutritional meds to do. After this she can ring that bell out loud. I know that everone is anxious but I will keep you all posted. Thank you

***Update 3/21/24***
Kirsten is going to hit some milestones soon! Her last chemo is Friday, March 22nd! Her chemotherapy has been very difficult to say the least. She's in and out of the hospital, going to ER every so often. Her last chemo was supposed to be on 3/15, but it got postponed because she was sick and hospitalized that week. Kirsten needs extra prayers so she can get through her last chemo successfully. One good thing is that her cancer is shrinking, so it's working!

After the last chemo, Kirsten is going to have a surgery to completely remove the cancer. The surgery will be on Monday, April 29, 2024. Please continue to pray for her so her surgery will be successful.

If all goes well, she'll be cured, and she can get her life back! It's been so difficult for her. Imagine not being able to go out or enjoy good food. She's been staying home other than going to the hospital. She doesn't have a good appetite because food doesn't taste good and it's difficult to eat.

Thank you so much for your prayers and financial support. She tells me that she feels everyone's prayers, so please continue to pray for her. Insurance co-pay can really pile up, so for anyone who can help her financially, I really appreciate your support for Kirsten, but more than anything, please pray for her full recovery. Thanks so much, everyone!
Best,
Dana

***Update 1/9/24***
Hi Kirsten's friends and family! Thanks so much for your prayers and support for Kirsten, but we need all of you to continue to pray for her. Please read the below update from Kirsten:
Hello! I apologize for the late update. I hope you had a great christmas and new year.

I started my 5th cycle chemo and having difficulty adjusting to the treatment. I am shaking and throwing up more and my white blood went down after it was normal for a while. Other side effects is, my heart palpitates. I literally would wake up in wee hours of the night and my heart would just jump.

Our holiday was a little quiet since I’m not allowed to take visitors. I am still working, only working from home. To top it all, I had bells palsy over the holidays. My face is still recouping and its almost back to normal. The good news is, I have 3 more cycles to go. I cannot wait and complete this set.

As I continue my journey, I want to thank you for your support and prayers. I am blessed to have all of you.

Thank you

***Early Dec 2023***
I really hope you can help my dear friend, Kirsten. She was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive breast cancer in Aug 2023. It’s called metaplastic carcenoma, also known as triple negative breast cancer.

She started her weekly chemo (yes, weekly!), and needs our prayers. Kirsten has 8 cycles of chemo and each cycle has 3 sets. She is currently completing her 3rd cycle (as of early Dec 2023). She goes through 5 different types of chemo medications each of which has their own side effects. Her chemo lasts 7-8 hours of infusions.

Kirsten has been one of my best friends. We share the same birthday. Some people think we're twin sisters separated at birth. Sometimes, I wonder if that's true because she's like a sister to me. Without Kirsten, my husband and I couldn't have had the beautiful wedding in our house. She decorated our backyard and our living room so beautifully on our wedding day. Kirsten caught my wedding bouquet that day! She has to recover and she deserves to be a beautiful bride one day, hopefully soon!

Kirsten never asks for any financial help. She only asks for your prayers, but I know some money can help her and her family. For example, medical bills. Her doctors visit co-pay has been pilling up. Co-pays can be very overwhelming specially if your out of pocket share is high. Bills from her procedures from out of insurance coverage is stressful and overcoming.

Your donation can make her life a bit more comfortable while she’s going through the side effects of her weekly chemo. Her chemo is going to last until summer 2024. After that, she's expecting to have a surgery to completely remove her cancer.

The most important thing is to pray for her quickest and full recovery. Please give her some encouraging words. (She likes receiving cards. If you don't have her address, and would like to send her a get-well card, contact me.)

I have attached the gofundme link if you would like to help her with her financial dealings. It will really help her while she recovers.

Thank you, friends!
