On Friday, June 26th, 2020 my 47 year old sister in law was rushed to the hospital. What happened next no one expected. This young, caring, fun loving woman had to undergo emergency brain surgery due to pressure on her brain and two brain aneurysms. No warning , no signs, completely out of the blue. She also unexpectedly had her heart stop several times due to aspiration of fluids. Thankfully after 3 surgeries in a week, the issues were repaired but a long road lies ahead. Now, a little over a month later, she is off the ventilator, out of ICU, out of the rehab facility, and just recently returned home to stay with her mom and adult son. Her fiance Tony is helping her however he can and stands by her side along with her mom Jane and son Tyler. Along with the support of family and friends, her strong spirit is serving her well and we are sure that it will get her through this challenge!
Holly has already overcome many challenges in her life, and is always there to help others in need. She was a young single mom but always worked hard and raised a successful young man! She has been like a second mom to her nephews Jonathan, Christopher, and Dylan. Holly has always worked in the service industry, assisting others. She began as a waitress, then worked for American Airlines for many years, as an assistant teacher in a preschool, and most recently as a PCA working with developmentally disabled adults in their homes. She has always been a caretaker, putting others needs above her own.
Now it's our turn to help Holly! She is doing much better than anyone expected, but she has a long road ahead of her, including physical therapy, medical bills, and loss of income because she is not able to work right now as she recovers from this unexpected trauma. She is walking with the help of a walker, slowly regaining her voice which was gone after removing the ventilator, and regaining muscle strength that was lost from lying in a hospital bed for weeks. Your prayers have helped her so much already, please continue to #PrayForHolly to help her fully recover and contribute to her fund financially if you can. Any amount is appreciated to reach our goal, and please continue to send positive vibes and prayers!
I love you Holly, please remember that we may not be sisters by blood, but we will always be sisters by heart! Get well soon!
