Pray for Casey
Hi my name is Tia and I am fundraising for Casey and the Giles family. I attend church with them and Casey is in my small/life group. Casey is a stay at home mom to her four children. This is sure to put a financial burden on the family. Whatever you can donate will help. PLEASE SHARE AND PRAY FOR THIS FAMILY!
6/27- Casey was taken by ambulance to the hospital after having three seizures unexpectedly, they did a CT scan and discovered a mass and some fluid on her brain.
6-29 AM posted by Casey: The brain surgeon came in an hour or so ago to talk. He said the tumor HAS to come out because it has several dark spots and the dark spots grow way faster but the surgery probably won’t be today due to not really having a good plan in place so they will probably move me out of ICU until after they get it out. I’ll know more this afternoon.
6-29 evening posted by Casey:So, Dr. Couzen’s came in and spoke with me and he is going to be doing my brain tumor removal. He is the best neurosurgeon in the area. They are looking at doing it Thursday but won’t be able to go home for a week. My tumor has some dark spots on it and they won’t know if it’s cancerous until they start the removal and biopsy it to see but luckily it isn’t in a place that controls memory or function. I know my Jesus is in full control of it all so I’m not too worried about it ❤️ I just won’t be able to see my babies before or after surgery Thank you for all the kind words, visits and prayers!
6/29 posted by Jeff: The tumor is over half the size of the front quadrant of her brain. She has surgery to remove the tumor on Thursday, (the time has yet to be determined). I have no doubt that God has this in control and has sent us the Doctor that he has chosen to do this operation. This doctor is the Cheif Neurosurgeon here and he said he has dealt with more of these tumors than anyone in the country. He is confident in what he sees and said he can help her get this taken care of. He also says this tumor has been there for a long time and with that the brain is use to that tumor being there. So the brain is going to react to it being removed, he says he thinks maybe some temporary weakness in her left side but we will not know until after it is over.
As the family post more updates I will add for everyone to follow her journey!
Lets shower them with love and support but most importantly prayers.
