Hi everyone… I recently gave birth to my baby Ca’Miyla on July 24,2025 at 36 weeks. Afterwards I went into septic shock. & my baby was sent to the NICU for 2 1/2 weeks. In the process she had feeding problems. She had an NG tube & stopped breathing twice. The hospital released her to me. But I had no idea we would be back where we started.
Yesterday September 2nd,2025 at 5 weeks old. Ca’Miyla was admitted into PICU for loss of oxygen in areas of the brain & seizing with an unknown infectious virus. She is on life support & heavily medicated. As well as in critcal condition.
I never ask for anything. Being a mother to 7 kids can be very challenging. & I recently moved to texas in march. Never expected these challenges. But being that her status is crucial. I’m in need of money for Uber rides, gas when my vehicle gets out the shop. To get back & forth to the hospital. As well as having to drop off & pick my kids up from school. & providing food for my kids as we will be frequently staying at the hospital for long periods of time. I hope I’m not asking for too much. It’s a lot on me so sudden. & it’s just me & my kids. Anything helps. Thank you very much❤️
update: Willow has sepsis. She is still fighting we can’t do certain test. Because they have to be done in her spine. & unfortunately if we test there it can cause more brain damage or for her to go brain dead. So we’re trying other methods. We still are trying to see what infection caused this. She hasn’t had seizures in the past 2 days. Her breathing is still at 100 with 30% help added for the hiccups in her breathing. They took her off the blood pressure meds & are feeding her through her ng tube 1 mil every other hour. She is opening her eyes more. & it mainly when she hears loud noises or is in pain or diaper changes. Most of her reactions are still being shown on the monitor. They drained some fluid so some swelling is down. When I left lastnight they told me they were going to drain some more. Still heavily medicated & has had 2 blood transfusions in the past 2 days. I’m proud of her the journey feels long. But she is fighting hard & looking good & I’m so proud of her. God is still in control & has the final say❤️keep praying!
