Life is supposed to have a natural order to things. There is your youth where your parents teach you and guide you to the best of their ability. These are the years that are called life coaching and are crucial for the later years. The parent shows the child that you don’t touch things because you can get burned. Then they show the child that you don’t run with knives because you can get cut
You try to expose your kids to as many adversities that you think they will have to come across in their adulthood without actually exposing them to harm or pain. This is how it works. However, sometimes no matter how hard you try there are things that lurk and campaign to destroy all the hard work and effort you have made to teach your child the right path.
Yesterday, one of the most unnatural things occurred to my sister Eva and I. We learned that we were going to have to bury her beautiful angel, her first-born child, Ambrielle. The demons had caught up to my beautiful, twenty-five year old niece and she lost the battle with hers.
I say it is unnatural because we are not supposed to bury our children and this has to be one of the hardest and most difficult periods of our lives. For those who remember Ambrielle, you knew her smile and her beauty. She had a twinkle in her eye and laughter in her heart. Her soul was pure and good, but her demons caught up to her and now she is gone.
I believe in God and the Heaven above so I do take some solace in knowing that she is home with my Mother who adored her and was her support through much of her short lived life. To all my friends and family who knew Eva this may come as a shock to you as you read my words. But, remember Ambri for the spirited child that would run around holding her brother John’s hand and laughing with her cousin Brittany. That’s how I will always remember her
