Brandon, Lauren, and Emerson Swan- CDH Journey

Emerson is confirmed to have a congenital diaphragmatic hernia. This means, he has developed a hole in his diaphragm that has allowed his bowel to move up into his chest pushing his heart over. He also has the two bottom chambers of his heart that have not closed up all the way. The good news is that his lung tissue seems to be strong so he should be able to handle surgery after birth.
The part the Swans are struggling with is that they found out that they will have to deliver in Charleston. The stay will be in Charleston with him for about 2 months for recovery.
COST BREAKDOWN
Medical bills will be the major cost in this journey that will include money that has to be paid to Prisma, Bon Secour, and MUSC. Some cost will have to be out of pocket requiring test such as MRI, Echocardiogram, and frequent ultrasounds. Also, they will use the money to pay for Emerson's NICU extended stay and the surgery itself.... The Swan's will also have to pay for certain specialist. and housing.
Brandon will have to at some point travel back and forth to give our daughter who is 4, some of a normal life, keeping her in school and bringing her to visit in Charleston, but while out of work, we will need to provide for her as well, so anything will help with gas as well. He will be coming home to work after a period of time back and forth as well.
The money will also help go towards food while they are located in Charleston for a 2-month span of time.
**Please understand that we are not planning to use this money towards delivery-- that is something that we would have had to pay for a regular circumstance delivery of a baby. This blessing will go only towards everything outside of delivery!

Please be in prayer for us as we figure out how we financially are going to make this work, and emotionally. Also pray that Lauren and Emerson are healthy through this whole journey. We firmly believe that God is still in the HEALING business as He can do miracles that we could not even imagine, and that is our prayer through this whole thing.
