Help and pray for my mom’s battle against cancer
Donation protected
We created this to share our Mom's story and to explain why we, unfortunately, have no other option but to ask for support.
In January of 2023, our new year started with our Mom diagnosed with biliary duct cancer. If you know our Mom personally, then you know how serious she takes her health. Needless to say, we never imagined such a healthy person could end up in this situation.
After the initial diagnosis, it seemed like anything that could go wrong did go wrong. Two days after the horrible news we got the devastating news that our Mom's cancer could not be removed via surgery and that chemotherapy treatments were our only option but this option had a very low chance of being successful . Amid the probabilities we were willing to take any bit of hope that could possibly help my mom. Our Mom is going onto week 3 without any follow-up appointments to initiate the chemotherapy procedure due to her not having insurance. We were told our only option was to send in an application for financial assistance yet would take time to process. In the mix of all of this, we have been faced with the stress of the reality that her health was deteriorating daily and we could not do anything to help her. Like anyone else would do we explored options and our best was to take her out of the country and not only were we offered immediate attention we were also given greater hopes of ridding the cancer. At this point, her quality of life depends on being treated in a medical facility out of the country, but the out-of-pocket costs associated with this care are immense.
So with nowhere else to turn, we’ve created this fundraiser. Our goal is to help keep our Mom in a medical facility where she can continue to receive the medical attention she so desperately needs. Even if you are not able to donate, we ask that you please share this. While it’s sometimes hard to outwardly reach out for help, please know that we appreciate the continuous support and generosity more than we could ever put into words.
Please keep my mother in your prayers
She's still young, strong, and we want to have her with us for many years to come. She has many important family moments ahead of her such as watching her grandchildren grow , future grandchildren born, and her youngest child marry.
Thank you so mucho and God blessings to all
