Pray and Donate for Alaya's Healing Journey

My name is Kaylei, and on July 22 2024 at 6:20am, my niece Alaya Victoria was born. I was so excited as Alaya being my brothers first born and my first niece, I couldn’t wait to meet her. I saw her that day and I didn’t waste any time to hold her. As soon as she was in my arms an instant bond/connection was formed. I love everything about her. Everyone got to hold her and everyone noticed she would turn a little blue and her lips would turn purple. The nurses thought this was due to her temperature being low. They told the parents to sit by the window and do skin to skin contact to get her temperature up. As the parents did everything the nurses asked, Alaya’s temperature was still low. While the nurse was in the room she finally witnessed Alaya turning blue. She then called in 3 other nurses and doctor to get another look at her. They came back and told the parents they were going to admit her to the NICU immediately and run some tests. Later that night they noticed Alaya had irregular breathing, they put her on oxygen and she was being observed. The next day the test results came back and Alaya tested positive for Patent Ductus Arteriosus also known as PDA. PDA is a heart defect that can develop soon after birth. It affects the way blood flows through a baby's lungs. There is a possibility it could still heal on its own. The doctor needed more answers. When he would try to take Alaya off oxygen she would stop breathing. She could not maintain her oxygen. Alaya got an MRI and we were devastated to find out she has a brain bleed on the left side of her brain. Yesterday Alaya was immediately transported to children's hospital and is currently undergoing many test and treatments. They have not yet confirmed if she will need surgery. Please pray for baby Alaya, my brother Joey, Iris, the doctors and nurses. Pray that God Comforts them and gives them strength to endure this trying time. Pray the doctors have the answers to get this baby girl healthy so she can come home to her family. We know God hears and answers prayers. We also know that God is faithful on his promises. SO please please pray for God to heal this little girl.

All money will go directly to Joey and Iris to help them during this unforeseen difficult time. My brother has taken time off work to be by his baby and girlfriends’ side. Thank you. Even if you cannot donate please just pray for Alaya.
