Greetings!
In my junior year at Northern Michigan Univeristy, I am persuing a degree in biology with a concentration in physiology and a chemistry minor.
Throughout my time at NMU, I have become increasingly involved in various ministry opportunities for evangelism and personal spiritual growth. Currently, I play active leadership roles within, CRU ( Campus Crusades), leading a women's bible study on campus and leading the worship for our weekly meetings. I have also become involved in the worship team at Water's Edge, the Marquette church I attend presently. In both of these ministries, I offer my gifts as a vocalist and cellist.
I began playing the cello when I was four years old and was classically trained for many years. Since graduating high school and moving to college, I have adapted my playing for new avenues and passions and began using my talents in ministry. Both of the aforementioned outlets present me with opportunities to share the gifts that God has blessed me with, and I find tremendous joy in sharing it with my brothers and sisters in Christ and returning it to Him in praise.
I have recently become aware, however, that my abilities have outgrown my the capacity of my instrument. I am currently playing my first full-sized cello that my parents purchased when I was in late middle school. Others have agreed and brought to my attention that it's quality is dampering the breadth of my playing.
So I am in search of a new, better quality cello and am praying for the Lord to provide. It is for Him that I play at all. The roadblock is that I am a broke college student and have limited funds to purchase a new cello.
My goal:
-4/4 concert cello
-new bow
-new hard case
My prayer is that the Lord would provide by stirring the hearts of you who have a love for Jesus and music alike, to support me in the continuation of these ministries. We love a rich God, who has blessed us all in unique ways. This is how he's blessed me and how I'm sharing it. How has he blessed you?
I am incredibly grateful for your support, in prayer and/or finances.
I appreciate your prayers and networking help to find a concert cello looking for a new home as well.
May His peace and blessings be with you now and always.
"Praise the Lord with melodies on the lyre; make music for him on the ten-stringed harp.Sing a new song of praise to him; play skillfully on the harp, and sing with joy." Pslam 33:2-3
