Support for Pragya's Family

 
Many of you know Pragya as the most amazing person ever. Ever smiling, most compassionate and always there to help whenever you need it. She always hid her sufferings under that smiling face. This mother of two had her second child (Pranab) born 5 months premature. His lungs barely functioned, and he survived on machines for more than a year. Yet she miraculously transformed him into the most adorable munchkin.
 


As Pranab started an almost normal life, Pragya had to take care of her own health issue – something she had been putting off for some time. She had to undergo a simple, uncomplicated heart-surgery, hence she booked return ticket to the best heart-care facility, The Mayo Clinic. And that is where her ‘perfect’ life totally fell apart. As she was healing from rather simple surgery, she suffered a heart attack. As doctors performed one after the other failed surgeries, her Kidney, liver and lungs gave up. She spent last 5 months tied to machines, fighting all odds with her sheer will. As the doctors grew clueless given ‘unforeseen’ complications, even they drew strength from Pragya’s indomitable spirit. Never to give up, she fought to live one more day as we all prayed for miracle. But we lost this race on 15th of November, when she suffered internal bleeding in brain.

We fought but lost this unwinnable battle. A glorious life ended abruptly, leaving behind a fragile husband and shaken kids. We look for your support to rebuild this family.
