If you've been lucky enough to have met Prada, you already know that her soul radiates through that little body of hers. She's the sweetest, most lovable little bean who has absolutely no qualms with being as sassy as sassy can get. If she's not following the sun around the house, she's usually sat at the living room window (she knows all the neighborhood gossip) or head-butting my partner and I for pets and treats. I'll try not to get too emotional because if I start crying I'll never manage to finish writing this - but my world changed the day we met and it's safe to say she saved my life. She means absolutely everything to me. She showed me how to love and be loved, she provided me comfort and support when I was at my lowest, and she gave me a home when I felt most lost. My priority is to make sure that, regardless of what happens, she is comfortable and happy.

Today I spent six hours pacing outside the emergency room, only to find out that my little ball of sunshine needs more help than I can provide by myself.

She was diagnosed with an underlying disease that has been causing her pain, discomfort and an unfathomable amount of stress. Her treatment is extensive and until we can make the next steps we're unable to foresee the outcome. From what we know so far- she's been diagnosed with peritonitis / steatitis with lymphadenopathy, fluid-filled pylorus, a hypoechoic pancreas, liver nodules,  and the biggest concern, infiltrative disease of the small intestines. Prada needs to undergo multiple biopsies to see whether there are cancerous cells in her liver and intestine before we move forward. However, due to her heart murmur, she needs an echocardiogram to see what treatment would be safest. The last thing we want to add to this is further damage to her heart. 

I absolutely hate asking for help, but Prada is the love of my life and she deserves the best care possible. Thank you for taking the time to read this, if you've ever sat outside the vet waiting for your baby to pull through you know how hard it all is. Any support is appreciated, truly.
