Blessings for Lauren

Hi! My name is Bri, and I have been a friend of Lauren Chrissotimos (Pena)’s for over ten years. To know Lauren, is to know you always have a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, a couch to sit and laugh on, and the most loyal friend you would ever need. Anyone who knows Lauren knows the joy she carries, and the magnetic energy she exudes. Those who know Lauren also know the challenges she has faced in her life, being diagnosed with Osteogensis Imperfecta (or OI).

Being in a wheelchair for most of her life has not stopped Lauren from doing things she has set her mind to doing. Having a wheelchair, specifically a motorized one, has been crucial in order for her to maintain her independence. Last week, Lauren’s motorized wheelchair broke. This has been an absolutely devastating loss as she is dependent on her motorized chair to help her get around quickly, and without assistance. Insurance will unfortunately cover only a bare minimum amount of the repair costs, leaving that huge financial burden to Lauren and her husband. So, this is where everyone reading comes in!

I know it would be a huge blessing to Lauren and Pete to receive some help relieving this financial burden they are facing. All funds raised will go to Lauren to help cover the cost of her wheelchair repairs and/or a necessary chair replacement. Any funds that might be left over will be used for outstanding medical bills of Lauren’s, as she has had numerous emergency room visits due to ongoing symptoms of Long COVID.
