El pasado 7 de enero de 2020, mi familia vivió la peor experiencia de su vida cuando un terremoto de magnitud 6.4 en la escala de Ritcher ocurrió en la zona sur de Puerto Rico, ocasionando daños que no permiten que nuestra casa (la casa de mi mamá) sea segura para vivirla. Nuestra preocupación mayor es que una de las réplicas pueda provocar que la casa colapse por completo.
La misma está localizada en Yauco, Puerto Rico y ha sido nuestra vivienda por más de 30 años. Recientemente la casa había sido saldada gracias al esfuerzo de mi madre y padrastro, por lo cual, no contaban con un seguro para su vivienda en este momento. Actualmente, mi familia está viviendo a la intemperie en casas de acampar y con otro familiares que los están ayudando. El daño mayor es emocional ya que la casa tenía un gran valor sentimental para nosotros, sin embargo, en este momento tenemos que actuar para que mi familia tenga un techo seguro donde vivir. Agradezco cualquier donación monetaria que puedan brindarle a mi familia en este momento tan difícil para nosotros. MUCHAS GRACIAS Y Dios los bendiga siempre!!!!
El dinero será recaudado para costear los gastos relacionados a este desastre y para conseguir una vivienda para mi familia lo antes posible. Yo resido en New York y me siento impotente ante la situación que mi familia enfrenta en este momento. El dinero será entregado por mi a mi madre directamente.

On January 7th, 2020, my family experienced the worst event of their lives when an earthquake of a 6.4 magnitude hit the southern region of Puerto Rico and resulted in structural damages to our house (my mom’s residence) that doesn't allow them to safely live in it anymore. Our concern is that knowing that the tremors are non-stop at the moment, our house can fully collapse anytime.
Our house is located in Yauco, Puerto Rico, one of the most affected towns on the island after the earthquake and it has been our only home for more than 30 years. Recently, the house was paid off entirely and for that reason, they don't have insurance for the house at this moment. My family is now sleeping in tents outside of the house and they are staying with other family members that are helping them out. The biggest impact for my family has been emotionally, but we need to take action to find a safer place for them to live in. I appreciate any donation that you could give to my family in this difficult situation. THANK YOU & God bless you!!!!!
The money will be used to cover related expenses to this disaster and to find safe housing for them as soon as possible. Currently, I’m living in New York and I’m feeling hopeless die to the situation that my family is going through. The money will be given to my mother directly .
