Support Whitney's Recovery Journey

Hi everyone, my name is Whitney Anderson I’m a black transgender woman living in Brooklyn, New York.

I am raising funds to support my recovery post Facial Feminization Surgery (FFS). My insurance will fortunately be covering the costs of surgery, but seeing that I will be healing for over a month I will need assistance with my costs of living and recovery expenses such as:

Along with that I will also be seeking out housing before surgery. As this being my first surgical procedure, securing housing is integral to my healing process.

With tensions rising involving political issues against the transgender community, I had to make a swift decision to take action much earlier than I expected. This procedure will be a huge step forward me, granting me safety and peace of mind when facing the public. While my transition has been a wonderful journey, I have experienced strong woes of dysphoria impacting my confidence, self imagine and my ability to live in peace. In response to that I would get discouraged and avoid social interaction leading me to staying home when I felt dysphoria at a larger level.
