I have turned to this funding site in the hopes that I may assist my dear friend and roommate to raise sufficient funds to self-publish his novel. It truly does deserve to be published and shared with the world.
The novel is an amazing fantasy trilogy that follows the adventures of a band of unlikely friends on their quest to save their world, destroy evil and seek justice for the downtrodden. It is set in a fantasy work of gnomes, elves trolls, fairies and other fantastic creatures from his imagination.
Yes, this may sound familiar...he even chose the pen name J.R.R Tokin in honour of one of his favourite authors.
This particular trilogy, however, is written in a witty, humorous style that both parallels and parodies our own cultures and societies, faults and pitfalls, yet sends a strong moral message throughout of honour, comradery and acceptance of each other's differences. I can sincerely attest that this novel has something for everyone; it captures your attention immediately whether you enjoy adventure, romance, horror, tragedy or fantasy.
JRR is a self described eccentric individual who prefers an isolated existence, as he is plagued by a number of chronic health issues, which cause him days of extreme physical pain leaving him unable to maintain employment. He is dependent upon a small disability pension which leaves him financially unstable. He has been trying every thing in his power to raise the money to publish his life’s work so that he stands a chance at supplementing his income, and possibly live above the poverty level for one of the first times in his life.
By immersing himself in his characters' worlds, he escapes his own discomfort.
He is truly a creative master, his ability to bring to life his characters and their surroundings is nothing short of genius. His artistry is evident in the crafting of his novel's tale of complexly woven simplicity.
This trilogy is destined to become a classic that could rival the likes of the Harry Potter and Game of Throne series.
This yet unpublished installment is the second book of the trilogy and has a Facebook page which contains a synopsis, bio's, and portraits of some of the characters. It can be found at the following link:
