Hi, my name is Justin Fowler. I'm making this Go Fund Me for my girlfriend, Hallie.

Last Friday, Hallie fell into the open floor hatch door in our laundry room that leads to our basement. This door is usually covered by a rug. She was unaware that I was moving boxes into the basement, and walked right into the open floor, which is not visible from the doorway to the room. She experienced a trimalleolar fracture of her left leg, along with rupturing her deltoid and syndesmosis ligaments. This means she broke her fibula in two places, fractured her tibia, and tore the ligaments that hold these bones together. This injury required surgery to repair the broken bones and torn ligaments.

Hallie is 28, healthy, and self-employed, and unfortunately has had a lapse in her health insurance coverage. The expenses for this surgery, and all other medical costs are unfortunately going to come out of pocket. Hallie is a busy wedding photographer in Kansas City, and unfortunately had to hire replacement photographers for her remaining weddings of 2023. She will experience a significant amount of lost income as a result of her injuries, in addition to her medical debt. She is devastated for her wedding clients who have graciously been willing to work with her through this difficult situation.
