Catch up on rent, utilities and health challenges

Hi, my name is Joe and I'm raising money for my family. Since February of this year, post-Covid, my wife, Kelly, has been plagued with several viruses and illnesses on top of her chronic pain issues. I’ve had to take time off from work to care for her when she’s been too ill to look after herself or to drive her to doctor appointments and emergency room visits. You know the drill.

Fortunately, the medical stuff is covered for now, and because I've registered her under the Family Medical Leave Act I'm in no danger of losing my job over the time off. The problem is our survival is contingent on me working a lot of overtime. Having to take time and not being able to work extra days has severely impacted my income. With the time I had to take off for Covid and now Kelly's ongoing health problems, I've fallen months behind on rent and utilities. I need your help to pay off my back rent and utility bills, and to set myself up with a little financial cushion in case I have to take more time off while we figure out what is going on with Kelly's health. We fear that it might be the result of long-term Covid, but we need more testing to figure that out. The last thing we need right now is to have to move or have our utilities cut off.

Honestly, these are the major events. If I listed all the challenges we are facing now, it would defy credibility. So I'm keeping it simple.
