Steve Parr After Devastating House Fire

In February, I suffered the devastating and unexpected loss of my mother, who I took care of and who was my best friend. While still trying to come to terms with and grieving the loss of her passing, the home I have lived in for years caught fire. The only concern I had was Molly, my 17-year-old dog. I went back into the blazing home to search for her, and thankfully we both made it out alive.

Now, all I have left is the shell of my beloved childhood home and Molly. The fire has left us homeless, and to top it all off, there is no homeowner's insurance on the house.

Honestly, I have no idea which direction to turn. Losing my mom and now losing the house, it's like a nightmare.

Right now, I am sifting through the rubble trying to keep my mind occupied before I lose it.

I plan to rebuild the house, at some point, but right now, I don't even have a place to shower and sleep. Thankfully, I have friends that are allowing me to stay at their places couch-surfing.

Any amount that you can donate would be greatly appreciated. Food, clothing, and assistance with the cleanup would all be helpful. ANYTHING at this point would be helpful!
