Duncan joined Weidner Apartment Homes almost three years ago. From the beginning, Duncan has been a positive presence at each community he’s worked at. Each day, his smile and laughter can be seen and heard, creating a welcoming embrace to residents and fellow associates alike. Duncan approaches every challenge with an upbeat attitude and he leaves a positive first impression with everyone he meets. Over the years, it has been apparent that Duncan is genuine, caring and has a heart of gold.

Recently, Duncan began feeling sick and was struggling to feel normal. After numerous doctor visits and testing, Duncan was not getting better and was eventually hospitalized. The test results were received and he was diagnosed with stage 4, B-Cell Lymphoma, the most advanced stage of the disease. This cancer is aggressive and can spread to various parts of the body. The doctors are prepared to begin aggressive chemotherapy this week. These treatments are extremely costly, so with no employment income and his medical insurance soon to expire, Duncan will soon face an extreme financial hardship. He has also exhausted all of his vacation and sick time.
