“All About Ashley”   My dear friend, Ashley, was the victim of a hit and run driver in Paris, France, on 10 November 2018. She is in serious condition and has sustain four factures (hip, jaw, eye socket and skull), additionally and more seriously, she has sustain life threatening trauma to her brain that resulted to swelling, brain hemorrhage and a collapse of brain vessels. As a result of her injuries she will require major ongoing medical care and future rehabilitation for some length of time. At present, she is out of the coma and as of now has been removed from the respirator, all really great signs, however, due to the serious nature of her brain trauma, she is still and will remain in the Neurological Trauma Intensive Care Unit for some time to come as they continue to monitor and treat her trauma conditions.     Ashley recently lost her personal health insurance and therefore has no next-of-kin / dependent health insurance coverage. Therefore, she now has major medical bills, of which will continue to mount, as well as, the rehabilitation bills to come. To ensure that Ashley continues to receive the most urgent and best care possible for a quick and full recovery, funding is needed to help her cover cost while her parents work with the French Administration to complete her repatriation process, which once approved, will provide her with basic healthcare coverage but will still only cover a portion of her ongoing medical and rehabilitation expenses.   Ashley is special to so many people, including her dog, Kaia and her cat Yuna. Ashley loves to travel the world, meet new people, learn new languages and cultures, play piano, sketch all manner of things and she loves to cook and bake.
