Pippa had an accident, she must have jumped off the couch while I wasn't home and essentially broke a few discs in her back, and injured her spinal cord.
After putting my Gus down to IVDD in November of 2020, I couldn't go through that again.  
I brought her to her vet where they said I need to rush her to the ER or unfortunately put her down.  I chose to bring her to Tufts.  She is only 3.5 (same age as Gus was) and I know she is a fighter.
Tufts said she had a 50/50 chance of survival, not known if she will walk again as her hind legs were paralyzed.  
She thankfully pulled through surgery! She is still not walking, I am unsure if she will regain full function in her hind legs again but, we are hopeful with physical therapy and time, Pippa will walk.

* A Brief History of Pippa*
I started fostering her in August 2020, she shook like a leaf when I first took her home, she only weighed 13 pounds, and she was scared of everything and everyone.  The adoption company had rescued her from an abusive breeder where she was over bred, and lived a life of abuse, not leaving her crate.  She has shown such resiliency and has come SO FAR! She now weighs 18.8 pounds, goes up to everyone,  and is the happiest little girl!
