Our grandson Curtis has a rare combination of immune compromising medical conditions including leukemia. He’s dealt with hospital stays and has had little hope of reversal since he was 5. He will turn 16 in a couple of weeks. The team at Barnes hospital are performing a bone marrow transplant on the 26th of this month after harvesting cells from his father, Mark. Up until this date, three types of chemotherapy are being used to deplete his immune system. He will have an entirely new immune system once Mark’s cells fuse with his.
He will spend 6-8 weeks in the hospital beginning this week. This is followed by 100 days in a Ronald McDonald House style apartment attached to the campus here.
We are staying with him during this time. Expenses back home are ongoing, and we have taken off work to be able to provide this care.
Friends and family have asked about a way to help. Our pastor at Father’s Arms Fellowship has offered to administer a giving platform. It’s located at: www.fafgive.org
This Gofundme is another well trusted place. The other will have less admin fees (zero).
Thank you for the few minutes you’ve taken to be interested. All is well and God is in charge.
