As you may have heard, Professional Photo Resources had to shut their doors today and is now by appointment only due to COVID-19. Unfortunately, since the film/photo industry suddenly came to a halt they've had to temporarily release most of their hourly employees. Obviously this was super unexpected and scary for those with families they are helping to support with young children and babies. I know anything you can give will be tremendously appreciated to help keep the PPR family afloat! This hits hard seeing as they are the last walk-in camera store in Atlanta, GA and have been in business since the 80's. The best thing you can do for their business is to continue ordering prints from their lab: pprpix.com (they even have watercolor, canvas and metal options,) rent out some gear for a personal project (if all of your jobs got canceled) or buy seamless paper! For the health and safety of our staff and customers beginning 3/23/20 we, Professional Photo Resources, will be available by appointment only due to COVID-19. Unfortunately, Monday we will be closing our showroom to walk in traffic. We are still taking extra measures to ensure all areas of the store - including rental gear, for sale items and our on-site print lab are clean and sanitized. If you are feeling ill in any way, please stay home!
Our lab will remain open for remote orders, delivery, and curbside pickup only – no instore ordering will be permitted through our kiosks. Please call before you’re on your way so we can ensure your order is packaged and ready for you to pick up. Turn around times may be impacted, so please confirm prior if you have a deadline.
Our rental department is remaining open as well. Rentals will still be available by appointment only for existing customers and delivered to your car (or staged in our studio for larger orders.) However, rental orders MUST be reserved ahead of time. We will not be taking any walk-in rentals – so make sure you call first. (It could take a few hours to clean and prep a rental so
again, please prearrange!)
New rental customers may not be set up in a timely manner, if at all, so plan ahead if you need to set up a new rental account. For now, References and Proof of Insurance may be required for all new rental customers. Temporary or short-term insurance will not be accepted.
Purchases from the sales floor will be available for existing rental customers and limited sales for non-rental customers. Please call us first at [phone redacted] so we verify we have what you need and are able to confirm mode of payment as the showroom will be closed. We unfortunately will not be able to show product options if you are unsure of what you need, but will try to guide you over the phone. Our studio will be closed until further notice.
For the time being, we will not be accepting cash. Credit cards and PayPal will be accepted.
Hours of operation will be affected and may change daily, so again please CALL.
We truly apologize for the inconvenience but have to put the safety of our community above all else. All of us here sincerely hope you are all are staying healthy and safe. We are hoping this passes quickly and look forward to opening our store in full again in order to fulfill all of your photography needs. Updates will be posted.
