This is Cookie. He’s a 17-week-old kitten, and the sweetest cat ever.

Over the past week, Cookie developed severe respiratory distress, struggling with labored, heaving breaths. At urgent care, he was placed on oxygen, and doctors drained 120 mL of fluid from his chest just so he could breathe. While this provided temporary relief, the fluid is expected to return, and he urgently needs to see a veterinary specialist for further testing and potentially life-saving treatment.

His owner has already exhausted her pet insurance and personal savings covering the emergency exam, oxygen support, hospitalization, and procedures. We've never imagined we'd be in a position where money could determine whether a kitten gets a chance at life. Cookie is still just a baby who deserves to play and have zoomies, and it breaks our heart that we can’t help him on our own.
