GG Granddad Lorow Tombstone Fund
Donation protected
Our GGgrandfather purchased 12 plots at the cemetery in Hartsville, NY when his son George died tragically in 1887. Unfortunately, the area designated for Aaron Lorow and his family bears no grave markers. Aaron died in September 1896 after being hit by a train. There are no accurate records for the 12 family plots as a fire long ago at the Hartsville Town Hall destroyed the records. Since the cemetery doesn"t have the records, the plots have been resold twice even though people are buried there. Luckily this was noticed by a genealogy family member who rectified the situation through the New York State cemetery board but it can happen again if we do not place grave markers. We are asking for your generosity in helping to give Aaron Lorow and his family a tombstone to mark their graves and to ensure their resting place will not be disturbed.
