Can you help fund the manufacture and distribution of vital PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) visors, today?
Nottinghamshire business, Prime Group, has swung into action to make disposable visors for NHS staff left without the necessary PPE in the face of the Covid-19 emergency.
Managing director Jon Tolley’s wife is a critical care practitioner at an NHS intensive care unit, and found herself without the necessary PPE earlier this week (w/c 23rd March).
Nottinghamshire-based Prime Group looked at how it could use its existing expertise in lasercutting and plastics to come up with a solution.
“We picked up a used, cleaned visor, dissembled it and produced our first prototype the next day,” Tolley explained.
“We delivered 100 yesterday (25th March) afternoon for staff to trial – they love them and are so grateful.”
Prime can make thousands of visors a day at present and is hoping to ramp that up to 10,000.

28th March - Prime field-tested Version 2 last night (picture in updates) and it is now signed off for production ramp up.
