PPE Fundraiser

Hello all! We’re a group of resident physicians working on the front lines in NYC amidst the COVID-19 crisis. Unfortunately, due to a massive influx of COVID-19 cases, our institution is experiencing a severe shortage of PPE (personal protective equipment) and we have been instructed to source what PPE we can ourselves. Medical-grade PPE is very difficult to find, and what we are able to locate is expensive and comes at a significant personal cost. We have even been reusing PPE and repurposing devices that weren’t meant for medical use in order to try and protect ourselves and our patients. Continuing to purchase our own PPE is not sustainable, and with the number of cases continuing to rise, it is likely we will need a great deal more before the situation is under control.

Any funds received will go directly to our group of residents on the front line at our institution to assist with getting us the PPE we need to continue to serve our patients and community, and to protect us and our patients as best we can during the pandemic.
