PPE for Mount Sinai Residents

Dear family and friends,
We are an informal group of resident physicians at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City writing to you with an urgent request.
Almost half of all COVID-19 cases in the United States are in NY state alone, and the number of confirmed cases in our hospital continues to increase at an alarming rate. We are reaching out to you directly from the front lines, where we are currently caring for hundreds of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 and hundreds more who are actively being ruled out. Unfortunately, we have a critical shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE), particularly surgical and N95 masks, eye protection, and protective gowns and gloves.
As you can imagine, the situation here is dangerous not only for us but also for our patients. This is only the beginning. Please help protect your healthcare workers on the front line so that we can continue to protect you and your loved ones. The money that we raise will be used to purchase necessary PPE over the coming months as we fight this uphill battle. Any small amount (even $5-10) will be greatly appreciated!
100% of proceeds (except GoFundMe fees) will be used to obtain PPE for us as front line providers. We have access to large suppliers and we are working to vet them with different experienced outside advisors.
