PPE for Navajo Nation First Responders

Please help support the people who are on the Navajo Nation who are showing up every single day to help fight Covid-19. Please stand with them by helping to provide personal protect equipment so they can be there for the people who have contracted the virus and are fighting for their lives. The Navajo Nation is located on a land base that spans approximately 17,544,500 acres across four southwestern states. The Navajo Nation has four hospitals, with six clinics to serve a population of approximately 350,000 people. This equates to about one medical facility for every 1,754,440 acres and one medical facility to serve every 35,000 people. These are facilities at that are not equipped to handle a pandemic of this magnitude. The rural structure of the Navajo Nation provides a unique dilemma in acquiring daily life supplies, and compounds the dilemma when it is exasperated by a potentially deadly virus.
This GoFundMe is to raise money to help support the first responders of the Navajo Nation by purchasing personal protective equipment. I have contacted a company who is producing eco-friendly protective equipment. They are able to produce gloves, masks, and face shields; each set would be $7 USD. The goal is to be able to deliver at least 500 sets for the hospital workers to use. In order to obtain this goal, the dollar amount for the order is $3,500. I urge you to please donate any amount you are able to spare. If there is one thing I have learned over the past few months, it’s that there is so much power in numbers. I have watched blockbuster movies generate millions of dollars over the course of a weekend on tickets that are only $10 each. If everyone were to donate just a little, it will add up quickly, and can be the positive change in someone’s life.
I recently heard someone say, “This is a time to see people at their best,” and I could not agree more. This is the time to see people come together and help each other, we all have an impact on one another. None of us can fight this alone.
