PPE for DC - 3D Printing PPE for DC Healthcare

In coordination with local engineers and artists we are working to alleviate the national PPE shortage for healthcare. The hope is to supply local healthcare workers and facilities with reusable face shields that will protect and preserve N95 type masks and further protect our healthcare workforce. We have built out a 3D Lab at a local art school and need supplies to keep the printers running. 100% of donations will go to increasing throughput and production of face shields. 

Face shields act as a barrier to protect PPE and healthcare workers from droplet exposure.  The face shields being printed by this team are longer than manufactured face shields and have replaceable plastic to lengthen the use of the shield.

Our manufacturing is currently focused only on shield production. Should the demand for this PPE be met, we will refocus on producing other essential medical equipment for the COVID-19 crisis in DC.
