Protective Equipment for Bay Area Clinicians

TLDR: If you want to show appreciation to healthcare workers in the bay area, donate to help keep them safe.

Hi Bay Area Community,

Our hospitals are running critically low on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) -- surgical masks, n95s, face shields, gloves, gowns.

This has become such a major issue that hospital administrators and even the CDC are loosening requirements. The CDC has suggested healthcare workers use bandanas or scarves during face mask shortage. Yes, really!

The less PPE front line clinicians have, the more will be infected with COVID and unable to provide care.

Flattening the curve will NOT help if health care capacity keeps dropping.

We're going to buy as many as we can find:
* face shields
* goggles
* surgical masks
* n95/n100 masks --- medical grade
* nitrile gloves
* isolation gowns

Won't the hospitals solve this?  Yes, in time. The supply chain has broken down for much of the required PPE. I have access to resources that the hospital doesn't and can move faster.

URGENT: If you have a reliable source for unused n95/n100s please reach out.

Thank you and stay safe!

NLS
