PPE Face Shields for SoFlo

Donation protected
Hi! We are a group of 1st and 3rd-year medical students who are looking to support our local COVID-19 fight here in South Florida by making PPE face shields.

Several hospitals and facilities in the area have expressed a need for additional face shields, which protect the entire face from contamination with highly infectious respiratory droplets and help to prolong the life of the precious N95s/surgical masks. These masks are currently having to be reused for hours or even days on end.

After being inspired by the early efforts of the George Washington University medical students, we have begun making our own face shields from materials purchased at office supply and craft stores. Because we are able to make these shields for less than $1 apiece, a donation of any amount goes a long way towards helping our providers.

We understand that these are challenging financial times for all, but if you are able, any contribution would be greatly appreciated! If you aren't able to donate, please make a huge contribution by simply sharing this on your social media accounts or email it to friends.

All funds raised will be used to purchase the supplies in order to make and transport these face shields to the facilities in need. In the case of any excess funds, we will ensure that they are donated towards purchasing additional PPE for healthcare providers.

Thank you in advance for your consideration and stay safe!

Sincerely,
Nova Southeastern MD Students
