Love for Lissa

As a dad, I saw early on that Lissa’s calling in life has been that of a caregiver. She cared for family pets and her siblings as a young girl, as a mother she was and is devoted to her two sons, and in her work, she has felt called to being someone who helped care for vulnerable adults in our community. This work is not one that is highly paid in monetary rewards, but Lissa brings a real passion for working with this special population and reaps heavenly rewards.
In 2018 she suffered from pancreatitis and a CT scan revealed a cyst. Doctors gave it some time to see if it would resolve on its own and then came CO-VID. Starting in July of 2021 Lissa again suffered with pancreatitis and several bouts of hospitalization to help with the extreme pain. CT scans and MRI have shown that the cyst has grown and will now require surgery to remove which may include incising parts of the intestines and pancreas that touch the cyst along with removing the spleen.
The medical insurance that Lissa receives from her job has a $7500 out of pocket limit for the year. She may have already reached this with the tests and hospitalizations she has had so far and will certainly reach it for this major surgery. Besides this expense she has had to quit the second job that she has always had to have to meet her monthly expenses and that because of the level of pain that she has been experiencing. She will exhaust her small amount of PTO that she has with her job during hospital stay leaving a period of time in which she will have no income from her job as she recovers. I don’t want her to lose her home because she can’t pay the mortgage.
Please consider answering Lissa’s prayer for help. She knows that her help comes from the Lord, but invites you to join Him in this. Thank you ahead of time.
