Help Contribute to Kiwi's Chemo Fund

Hi, this is Kiwi. I got Kiwi when I turned 18, and she has been a loyal companion ever since. Like any Hispanic dad, my dad vowed to get rid of her until it was too late and he fell in love with her!! That's his bestie now. She has been our family’s blessing and brings so much warmth into our household.

Recently, Kiwi started acting lethargic and rapidly lost some weight. We took her to the vet and discovered she has a mass in her thorax, as well as lymphatic fluid filling her lungs, making it extremely hard for her to breathe. Right now, she is in intensive care getting more testing done and getting all excess liquid drained, but with the mass and fluid in her body, the vets are suspecting lymphoma cancer.

Any help would be so, so, so appreciated and ease this until we figure out the best treatment plan for my Kiwis.

After taking Kiwi to the oncologist, further testing had to be done to determine the type of lymphoma and the state of her internal organs. We are left with making the hard decision of either continuing with palliative care with steroids or starting chemo. Kiwi is having labored breathing and will continue to do so until proper care is determined. It's been a hard time for my family and I navigating the financial and emotional stress of this situation. The help so far through Zelle and here has helped tremendously to ensure she's comfortable through all this with the proper care. thank you!!!

We have officially started Kiwi on chemo. We opted out from the traditional CHOP method they recommend for lymphoma due to cost restrictions but we are hopefully with the steroids, and cycling of two different chemo agents, Kiwi will see a reduction in her mass. So far, between testing and the cost of chemo, we have mounted $4k in expenses. We want to continue giving Kiwi the best care we can so if you can share this, it would help tremendously. I can't thank everyone enough for the help.
