Hi everyone,

This is Jake’s youngest daughter, Bella.

Yesterday, my dad was out running some errands when he collapsed and a passerby was able to help and call an ambulance. He was rushed into emergency surgery for a ruptured stomach artery. This morning he went back in for a second surgery to be sure there isn’t any new bleeding and everything is looking good so far. He is still in the ICU but he is stable and they were able to remove his breathing tube.

He’s going to have a long recovery ahead needing some assistance with daily life so he will be temporarily staying with my boyfriend and I until he can get back on his feet. I am starting this fundraiser in hope of being able to help him with some of the financial stress he will be going through. He unfortunately had a lapse in his health insurance and will be dealing with an extensive amount of medical bills after this event. He is also going to be out of work for at least several weeks while he recovers from major surgery, and I will be taking some time off of work to stay home and help him with daily life until he can do so on his own.
