One of our own from Smyrna Fire Department Truck Company 4, Darrell Shelnut has recently run into some health issues. He has been in and out of the hospital starting with open heart surgery, to having a collapsed lung due to complications. As with most firefighters, he has multiple part time jobs and now is missing that income due to his current condition. Shelnut has been with the Smyrna Fire Department for 26 years. He is also a dedicated father, police officer, and arson investigator. These donations will go to help with the out of pocket expenses he and his family have incurred.
