Fighting Cystic Fibrosis With Video Games

Tax deductible
In 2011, a group of high school friends started a video gaming website called PwnZonez. The group consisted of several young men, including Richie Quinn-Delewski who had been battling cystic fibrosis his entire life. As the young gamers began to plan for post-graduation life, PwnZonez began to fall by the wayside. The project was discontinued in late 2012.

In 2016, plans to relaunch PwnZonez were formed. The new team included two members of the original team, Jon Jordan and Richie Quinn-Delewski, as well as longtime friend and gamer Chase Curtis. In 2017, the project was re-branded Pozz - a video gaming YouTube channel with the primary focus of raising awareness and funds for cystic fibrosis research in honor of Richie. The project was expected to launch in late 2018.

In November of 2018, Richie passed away due to complications with his cystic fibrosis at the age of 23. Sadly, he never got to see Pozz launch. The idea to relaunch Pozz, formerly PwnZonez, began as just a fun side project for the three childhood friends. However, as the dust from the devastating loss of their best friend began to settle, launching Pozz became that much more important to the two surviving team members.

In the summer of 2019, the main Pozz YouTube channel officially launched - testing the waters for what was to come. In November of 2019, the Pozz Games YouTube channel launched to feature exclusively video game video content. The Pozz brand aims to expand its video content into both film and music in the new year - still with the primary focus of raising awareness and funds for cystic fibrosis research.

Pozz Games now premieres new gaming videos on YouTube multiple times a week. With every video uploaded, the Pozz team hopes to play a small part in finding a cure for cystic fibrosis. Until a cure is found, we will #NeverPause.
