Stolen Trailer! Powertool Drag Race
Donation protected
The stolen trailer contained all the props and infrastructure for the Powertool Drag race, which is a highly participatory, free public event now in it's 12th year.
The event is supported by Hazardfactory, an industrial arts instruction facility that provides support to our event participants by providing instruction and free shop access to help people build props and racers for the event.
This is always fun and often allows participants to learn new skills, like welding and basic shop work.
The event requires a significant amount of infrastructure. The trailer that was purchased to store our infrastructure was stolen last night.
This is a serious setback . The show is on JUNE 9th, which is only a few weeks away.
We are supported by local businesses, whom typically provide enough funding for new materials, but this is an expense which our budget cannot currently sustain.
Hazardfactory needs your financial help to replace all the tools, props and infrastructure we lost and to support the overhead required for our volunteers to rebuild key props.
We need the funds as soon as possible in order to be ready for the race.
If you have seen the Powertool Drag Race before, or if you have participated in the classes we teach here, or the shows we have hosted, or even the shows we designed and produced, please help.
With your help, we can produce the event this year. We love producing shows and work for the public. Your support is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
