Powers' Medical Expenses and Maternity Leave

If you know Aubre and Logan Powers you know that they are an incredible couple who serve and love their community passionately. They had been anxiously waiting to meet their baby girl, Matilda, at the beginning of August.

However, Aubre was unexpectedly hospitalized this week- what started as a routine visit to check up on some swelling in her foot turned into her being admitted to the hospital with extremely high blood pressure. Ultimately they couldn't get Aubre's blood pressure under control and to keep both Matilda and Aubre safe, they chose to induce labor so that Matilda could safely be brought into the world and cared for in the NICU.

Matilda Bea Powers was born at 31 weeks and two days, weighing 2lbs 7oz. The nurses and Aubre and Logan describe her as a cute, feisty little thing! She is currently doing very well in the NICU- where she will be taken care of over the next several weeks as she continues to grow. Aubre and Logan anxiously await the day they can take their little Matilda home!

As excited as they are to meet their Matilda, Matilda coming early meant that Aubre couldn't continue to work as planned to keep saving for maternity leave and they will accumulate some medical bills.

As friends and family of the Powers family can we bless Aubre and Logan financially during this hard, and unexpected season? This will help alleviate any financial stress and burden due to Aubre not being able to work so suddenly and needing extra time to heal from surgery. This will also help them to continue to care for Matilda while she is in the NICU without any financial stress and to help pay for any medical bills that accumulate with Matilda's stay.

Please continue to pray for Matilda's growth- that her lungs grow strong and she continues to thrive in the NICU so she can come home as soon as possible.

Pray for Aubre and Logan as they recover emotionally, mentally, and for Aubre physically from this past week.

Pray that Aubre, Logan, and Matilda can bond and grow closer as a family even during this time with Matilda in the NICU.
