We are launching the Isle of Man’s first dedicated national powerlifting performance centre in central Douglas; a flagship facility that will transform athletic development on the Island
Despite operating without a dedicated, central facility, Manx Powerlifting has built one of the Island’s most successful and ambitious sporting communities.
In just four years, we have delivered at least three local competitions annually, with attendance growing year on year, hosted the Island’s first Inter Schools Championships, significantly increasing youth engagement in powerlifting; and our athletes have:
· Represented the Island at two Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships
· Competed at three Home Nations Championships
· Competed at World Masters
· Achieved strong results at multiple British national events
This momentum has created a strategic opportunity: with the right support, we can elevate
What the New National Performance Centre Unlocks

· A structured performance pathway from grassroots to world level
· A permanent base for Manx coaches, coach development, and youth programmes
· Competition standard equipment enabling safe, progressive training
· The capacity to run events, live streams, and community initiatives all year round
To deliver this project, the initial investment required is:

· £7,000 – Competition standard equipment
· £3,000–£4,000 – interior fit out
Total Initial Funding Requirement: £18,000–£19,000
