Fuel the Future: Support High Peak Youth Robotics!

We are High Peak Youth Robotics, a determined youth-led team of 15 young engineers, designers, and creative thinkers from the High Peak (ages 12-18), facilitated by Funny Wonder Inc. CIC. Robotics is more than just building machines—it’s about inclusion, growth, unlocking potential and showing that young people can achieve incredible things with the right support.

We’re proud to be a community-based team that welcomes young people from all walks of life, we believe that diversity in thinking, learning styles, and creativity is our greatest strength.

We focus on building a supportive, inclusive environment where every young person can thrive, be heard, and contribute meaningfully.

Our Journey So Far - Rookie team to Nationals

Last season was our rookie year, and we hit the ground running! Against all odds, we not only built and programmed a working robot from scratch—we competed at regionals and qualified for the national championships of the FIRST Tech Challenge. It was an unforgettable experience, and we’re incredibly proud of what we achieved as a first-year team.

Now we’re back and gearing up for our second season—and we’re aiming even higher.

Why We’re Fundraising

Competing at this level is an amazing opportunity, but it comes with costs. We’re raising money to help cover:

• Our weekly term-time sessions in Buxton (Room rental and coach fees) as we are a community team (most FIRST teams are based in schools)

• Essential robot parts and materials

Every pound donated goes toward giving young people hands-on experience in STEM, teamwork, and real-world problem-solving.
