Powelton Village Tot Lot Campaign
Donation protected
Hello Neighbors,
Every year, the Tot Lot table at the Hamilton Street Porch Sale allows us to raise important funds that support the maintenance of the playground and host various activities throughout the year. Unfortunately, due to the current circumstances of the coronavirus outbreak, the 2020 Hamilton Street Porch Sale cancelled. So, in its place, we are raising funds for the Tot Lot independently. We hope you will consider making a small donation to support this great asset to our neighborhood.
The Tot Lot (Powelton-Drexel Playground), our small green space located on 35th Street between Powelton and Pearl Streets, was restored by a generous grant from The William Penn Foundation with leadership and guidance by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, The Powelton Village Civic Association and Drexel University from 1997-1999. It is a place to come together not only for children, but also for adults. A key highlight every year includes the 4th of July PVCA Picnic with water balloon toss, sack races and the annual pie baking contest! Our modest annual budget allows us to pay the electric bill for the streetlight, work with Drexel University to maintain the space, repairs to any playground equipment and provide food and supplies for the PVCA activities hosted there.
We encourage everyone to continue enjoying this great space in our neighborhood and thank you for your all your support!
