In October of 2022, our dear brother Pao was diagnosed with stage 3 liver cancer. At the time, he & his wife were blissfully living in Oklahoma with their 6 sons. However, upon hearing his diagnosis, they knew they needed to come back to Minnesota in order to have the love and support of their family. Pao & his wife took what little they could fit into their car & quickly drove back to Minnesota.
We welcomed Pao & his family with open arms and did everything to support & comfort them. Pao also began his chemotherapy at the Mayo Clinic. After a few weeks of being settled in, Pao's wife decided to go back to their home in Oklahoma to gather the rest of their belongings. Unfortunately, she found that while they were gone, their house had been broken into & they were robbed of every memory & valuable item they had owned. Heartbroken & empty-handed, our nyab returned to MN to resume taking care of her husband and 6 kids.
In late January, Pao was put into hospice care as he had undergone chemotherapy for 4 months until his body couldn't take it anymore. Every day, he was intimately surrounded by his loved ones in his home. On February 14th, 2023, his wife lovingly brought home a red rose for her valentine. Little did we know, this would be their last Valentine's Day together. With a rose in his hand & his wife & sons by his side, Pao passed away at 5 pm after spending his last Valentine's with the love of his life. Pao leaves behind his wife, 6 sons & his 2 beautiful daughters.
Our brother was a beloved husband, a loving father, and a great son. As we prepare to celebrate his life, we ask for any amount of monetary donations to help alleviate the financial costs for his family. No matter what amount you choose to give, any amount will go a long way.
We are also accepting monetary donations through Venmo. You may send your donation to @Par-Yang
We truly appreciate your support during this time & we pray that our brother, uncle, dad, son, and husband, Pao, is up in heaven with the Lord blissfully smiling down at us.
Sincerely,
-Yang Family
