The Playwriting and Screenwriting (PWSW) Department's POV Festival is an annual student-run theatre/film festival featuring winning play, screenplay, and film submissions from undergrad Playwriting/Screenwriting and Film BFA students at the State University of New York at Purchase College. In 2017, POV was born out of the idea that students can support each other by showcasing their work. Play and screenplay presentations vary from staged productions, staged readings to short films. 

Due to the ongoing pandemic, we will host the 2021 POV Festival online instead of on campus. It will be free to the public, so we will not generate money from ticket sales. We must raise funds to pay for the companies that will produce the student works. The LAB Theater Project will live-stream a staged play and record a staged reading. BK Actor's Self-Tape will record three screenplay readings. One screenplay and two plays will be student-produced, requiring a full production budget.
